Deb Heady joined the St. Patrick’s Committee in 2016, proudly continuing a family tradition inspired by her parents. From 2019 to 2023, she served as treasurer, modernizing the committee’s financial processes by updating reports, streamlining purchases with ATM cards, and establishing a Venmo account. Following her tenure as treasurer, Deb volunteered to serve as the club secretary, a role she currently holds in her second term. In addition, she chairs the scholarship committee and actively supports various initiatives whenever needed.

A lifelong resident of West Springfield and member of St. Thomas Church, Deb has been married to Shane Heady for 43 years. Together, they raised two sons, Ryan and Kyle, and Deb treasures her role as Nana to her three grandsons, Kegan, Oliver, and Sammy.

Deb’s professional career spans 32 years at the Department of Defense at Westover Air Reserve Base. Over the years, she has held diverse roles, including orderly room clerk, secretary, resource advisor, Chief of Plans and Programs, and Management Analyst. Her dedication and excellence have been recognized with numerous awards, including Employee of the Quarter, Employee of the Year, Supervisor of the Quarter, and the prestigious Air Force Resource Advisor of the Year. With retirement on the horizon in May, Deb is looking forward to the next chapter of her life.

In her spare time, Deb enjoys camping, reading, gardening, long walks, and relaxing with a glass of wine by the fire.
